Allow fts indexes on all data types
Allow fts indexes on all data types, integer, numeric, dates, money, etc. Then users can free search everything. It can be confusing right now because they see a grid with integer data, but when they do an fts search, they don't find those records.

I'd love to vote for this, but i need all my votes to push "alter table-structure LIVE" :)
I'm honestly surprised more people haven't voted for this. :)
Consider a grid with an integer field F1 and a string field F2. Imagine a text box above the grid for searching. If the user types in a word in the string field, the grid is filtered via FTS and only rows with that word are displayed. If they then type in an integer value (one they can even see actually exists in F1), an FTS search can only find that integer in F2. If FTS was allowed on all field types, then the developer would only have to implement a single search call and it could find values in other fields like F1. This would provide a single free form search over every field in the table by setting one simple FTS filter.
Can't see the point of this - FTS is for text or text-like data/strings, ie: multiple words in a field. How would you search an Integer for a word? There is only one value in a number-type field and you already have all the control you need to work with that single value.
